چکیده
This study was a randomized controlled trial conducted at Noor Hospital Rawalpindi, Pakistan to compare muscle energy technique (MET) and conventional physiotherapy techniques in patients with confirmed diagnosis of adhesive capsulitis. was, between March 2021 August 2021. A total 30 participants regardless gender, aged 60 years, idiopathic capsulitis were included. Participants unstable shoulder fractures dislocation, thoracic outlet syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, reflex sympathetic rheumatoid arthritis, extreme pain not relieved by any medication or rest excluded from study. The assigned experimental (n=15) control group using sealed envelope method. both groups assessed baseline after 4 weeks. outcome the treatment measured terms numeric rating scale (NPRS), Shoulder Pain & Disability Index (SPADI) goniometer for measuring ROM. overall mean age 51.64±5.31 years. included 12 (40%) males 18 (60%) females. After weeks significant difference (p-value <0.05) seen pain, disability concluded that MET is non-invasive reducing pain. also shown improve functional ability ROM comparison physical therapy treatment.

متن کاملHydrodilatation, corticosteroids and adhesive capsulitis: A randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND Hydrodilatation of the glenohumeral joint is by several authors reported to improve shoulder pain and range of motion for patients with adhesive capsulitis. Procedures described often involve the injection of corticosteroids, to which the reported treatment effects may be attributed. Any important contribution arising from the hydrodilatation procedure itself remains to be demonstrat...

Background: Adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder is among the most prevalent causes of pain and disability in individuals. Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the effect of Photobiomodulation (PBM) on pain, range of motion, and thickness and function of supraspinatus muscle in patients with adhesive capsulitis. Materials & Methods: Overall, 52 subjects (n=26/group) with adhesive capsulitis r...
